A Personal Beginning

The idea for the site began during a long train ride from Prague to Bratislava. Elena had just returned from a quiet stay in the Slovak countryside and realized how little reliable, straightforward information was available online for travelers heading to lesser-known regions. She began collecting notes, maps, and practical tips—eventually building what would become narovita.

Building a Small Team

As the project took shape, Elena was joined by a few like-minded contributors: locals, fellow travelers, and researchers. Each brought a different perspective and helped refine the tone of the site—balanced, respectful, and useful. The small team now maintains and updates the content together.

Looking Forward

We plan to expand slowly—adding new countries and more in-depth regional pages, always in line with our core values: clarity, honesty, and usefulness. narovita remains a small project by choice, created by people who care about travel as a form of understanding, not just movement.

How We Work

All our content is created through direct experience or local collaboration. We don’t use AI-generated descriptions or recycled lists. When we recommend something, it’s because someone on the team has seen it, used it, or spoken with someone who has.
